I had a moment last week, where hurt plagued my heart and began to bury me in a quick sand of negativity. I felt myself frowning from the inside out. Clenching my jaw and my heart into a stream of negativity…and I knew all of a sudden what I had to do.

And in that moment, I was released and peace became my new friend!
We must seek first and foremost before all other things God’s kingdom: a kingdom where God’s rule and intention for pure, loving, selfless, relationships rule. This is not an easy thing to do…but must be a continual seeking.
In my quest to fundraise this trip, I have been tempted to focus on the money and all that I can do to fundraise. While I still want to be proactive, I am humbled by this quote and reminded that it is far more important to build up others in love, kindness, and grace. That it is more important to strive towards restoring a world as God first intended it and then the rest will come.
