Did you know that a pearl starts out as a tiny speck or grain of sand? It spends a long time in a dark place but comes out as something beautiful and resiliant.

When praying over our team name we also thought of Ruth. In the bible, Ruth was a woman who embodied faithfulness. She couldn’t see what her future held but she followed her mother in law anyways. “Where you go I’ll go and where you stay I’ll stay” (Ruth 1:16). She went boldly to the threshing floor with Boaz and walked into her destiny because of her faithfulness. That is how our team name pearls of faithfulness was born! Here is my beautiful new team… from left to right

(Hannah, me, Becca, Paige, Janet, Sylvia, & Allison)

This month we are serving in Mahasarakahm, Thailand at a Y.W.A.M (youth with a mission) base. We are building relationships with college students at the local University and sharing the gospel. I must say, after 4 months of kids ministry it is a breath of fresh air!

What a beautiful thing it is telling students about Jesus who have never even heard His name before! I grew up most of my life going to church but the first time someone truly gave me the gospel was in college when two girls knocked on my dorm room door and interrupted my studies to share the good news that changed the entire course of my destiny. So I am honored and so excited to get to do that for others now! So far it has been a challenging but wonderful experience. Two students I really enjoyed talking to were named Milk and Pink. Like most students here they didn’t know about Jesus. They were adorable, kind, and hungry for truth. Praying with them was a sweet encounter with God’s goodness.

Please pray that this month we are able to build lasting friendships with the students, that their hearts would be open, and for our team as we move into this new season together.

Love from me and all my lovely pearls. xoxo -Jenna
