The last weekend we had back to back off days, so we took a 3-4 hour bus ride to Manuel Antonio, to the beach. The first night I decided to stay behind and catch up on some wifi stuff, call my parents and have some quiet time to process my week.
After this stillness time the team and I had dinner together from this local little hut; probably some of the best food I’ve had. We spent time together hanging out as a team, spoke some honest truth on where we are feeling in all of this newness, and then played a fun game of Monopoly Deals.
The next day we went to the beach and spent some of our morning in the ocean. I swam and layed on the water just thinking about the awesome realness of where we were and how awesome God is for bringing us here. I looked around to my teammates and said “Guys! We are in Costa Rica! We are currently swimming in the Pacific Ocean! How awesome is life right now in this moment?!!!” We had a fun filled morning at the beach playing with the waves and many laughs.
We were on our bus ride back to San Jose and there were these two guys that hitched a ride and were sitting on the floor since they didn’t have tickets and they sat there the entire time. At first I was kind of weirded out by this, but then I started secretly watching and studying them. These two men were harmless, they sat on the floor minding their own but also took the entire ride getting to know the community around them. They talked to a few Costa Rican women by us and got to know them and about their lives. In doing something so simple they created friendships with random strangers instantly.
As I sat for the rest of the bus ride I thought about how those two men are really a great example. We are strangers to this community that we are currently living in and in the future communities we will be living in each month. But God is sending us out into the world to make those kinds of friendships. To just sit and listen, to speak and to know and grow, to be intentional. We want to be there for our friends and we want to help our friends, we want to be hands, ears, voice, and feet for our friends. I’m very thankful to God for the 2 days of rest but also for the random moments like on the bus.

Thank you all for the support on my journey, we are three weeks in and God is doing so much in my life already. Thank you also for your patience, I want to vlog more and post more blogs but our location doesn’t have wifi so only on off days to I get wifi and when I do it is not the greatest.
Praise report!!! I’m almost at $11,000 raised and I have to raise a total of $16,965 by April. So if you could please do me a favor, look over your finances, and then pray and talk to God about possibly helping supporting my journey. If your feeling hesitant consider this… I had a donor tell me that donating isn’t about jenn it’s about THEIR relationship with God and trusting that God will provide for them. Continue praying for the team and I and I will update as soon as I can.
Thank you all and God Bless!
