Salut Copii!
That means hello children in Romanian! This month I have been in Romania and I have been gone from America for 8 months now. It feels like a long time. But God blessed me this month because my mama came to visit me and she got to be a part of my trip for one week. It's hard to imagine being away from your momma and daddy for that long. When I picked my mom up from the airport we both cried together and hugged for a long time. It was a very good feeling to see my mamma again.
We were able to do many things together. We visited a family of 9 that had very little and had a very small, poor home. The children couldn't read and didn't know their colors yet, but we sat with them and played and prayed together. Then my mom and I were able to go bring some food home to them.
I thought it was very important that we bring a cake home to them. There are 7 children. They need cake! They kids were smiling by the time we had to go back home.
The next day we got to bring eyeglasses to a village and pray with and counsel those interested. My mom and I entertained the children while the parents were getting glasses. We played eye-spy with the kids because I knew the colors in Romanian. My mom brought some candy, so the kids were really excited. They even tried war heads!
The last day we did a kid's carnival. Over 100 children came! We taught the children about how Jesus had the children come to him when the disciples pushed them away. Did you know how much Jesus loves you? He tells us to be like little children and that is the best way. He says the last will be first and the first will be last and we should become the servant of all. If we want to be first, we must put others before us. When you learn to let others go first or clean your room without being asked or share the best of your toys with your brothers and sisters, Jesus says this is best.
Will you pray that I keep putting others first and to be the servant of all? Jesus says that this is the best way and I want to be like Him. And I will pray that you too can learn to be like Jesus this way. He put us first by dying for all of us. He was the example for us by being the Servant of All!
