11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Ephisians 6:11-17

Efesios 6:11-17

 We Are Soldiers

While I won’t share much concrete details of Training Camp, because I don’t want to create assumptions or expectations in future Racers, I will share this journal entry of a revelation that God gave me while at Camp.

October 15, 2013

Last night was one of the most blessing and powerful nights so far. We were singing and dancing when in the middle of it God reveals a prayer of mine. About 3 years ago I was having weird dreams during a month period. They were dreams of tragedies, chaos, and death. Only thing I could get out of was that perhaps God was letting me know I was near my physical end. As I was pondering about these dreams I remember saying “God do what you must for all I want to do is be one of your soldiers.” Then last night as we were dancing I was processing everything that has been said and taught throughout the last few days when I hear His voice “You want to be a soldier? Here it is.” As those last three words are being said my eyes and peripheral vision got wider. For the first time in camp my eyes weren’t focused on just my squad or the speakers but rather the entire room. All of us that we were there are soldiers of God. We were called upon and we have accepted the call. I began to smile and truly dance in rejoice knowing that He accepted me to be one of His soldiers and He is so awesome that He got me a band of brothers and sisters as well.

Second revelation that occurred was that ever since I made that commitment with God I was always wondering what it would be like to be a soldier of His. As my mind begins to settle of the first revelation I restart paying attention to the song that was being sung. The very first thing my ear and brain collects is half of a verse when it says:

“It’s going to be wild!”

“It’s going to be great!”

“It’s going to be full of me!”

I have never dance so joyful spiritually wise. I have never sung a verse so hard.
