We've raised $5,500 dollars to adopt a baby girl. The money ($4,000) is to pay for the legal fees of hiring a lawyer and we are still in need of around $2000 for the current legal guardian's legal fees. We're very excited about the support that has come in from all around. If you still feel called to give, you can go to our HopeMob page. Thank you to everyone who donated. This is a new blog from my dad.

Tomorrow is the day; we embark on an adventure that we have gone on before. We have been down this path three times but at a much younger age. Of course this one will not have the pain of childbirth.
The adventure of raising a child. God has given each one of us the specific purpose of discipleship.
He has called us to preach and teach others about the God of the universe.
God has never wavered in this direction or goal for our lives.
What better way to begin this process with a new fresh mind, a person that is not tainted with the things of this world. Tomorrow we begin the process of adopting a one year old girl.
The first three times we were in our twenties, this time we will be in our fifties. We are definitely more experienced than we were with our first child, but we go into this with our eyes wide open knowing it will be more difficult, more tiresome; we will have to depend on God in a new way.
Annalise will be a welcome addition to our immediate and extended family, our friends and all that come into contact with her. After talking with some friends today they reminded us that once adopted no one else has claim to that baby. Isn’t it awesome t think that once we are adopted into God's family the same can be said of us, no one has a claim on you.
God loves each of us so much he will never let go of us.
I am scared and excited at the same time, God has been faithful to provide the necessary funds, he has taken away the fear, he has put a new joy in my heart, he has placed a desire in my heart to raise this child better. In the past I read a couple of books Crazy Love and Prayer Circle and in those books it talked about how we need to have dreams and prayers that are God sized.
The one thing most people think but don’t say is “you are crazy.” The weird thing is I don’t feel crazy, I know that God has placed this in my path. When you are on the path that God has set aside for you, you stay on that path, no matter what happens on that path. God says that he loves me and he will be there with me through it all.
Thank you to everyone who supported us. This will truly be a Merry Christmas.
