Two weeks ago when we arrived on the island of Penang, I thought to myself, "It would be so awesome to work on a fishing boat for ministry this month."

It seemed like a ridiculous dream at the time, but my adventurous spirit knew that it was possible. We went to the place were all the fisherman dock their boats and I was a little nervous to ask them the first time. Scared that I was going to be rejected, so I said to myself that I would ask later.

I was starting to wondering if later would ever happen.

Today we went back, so I looked at my friends who were with me and said, "Can I go ask these fisherman if I can go out on their boats before we go hiking? It should only take a couple minutes."

They said sure and we were off. To be honest, I was a little nervous walking up. I shot up a few prayers and asked God to blaze a trail for us.

Mark and I walked out on the dock together and as we got towards the end I saw three fisherman standing around talking. I walked up and asked them if they were fisherman and I said a few other things. I assumed that they spoke English but they did not.

Part of me was worried that none of them would speak English.

But we pushed on towards the end of the dock, there were a few men scattered around on their boats. We yelled to them to ask if they spoke English, none of them did.

And as we were walking back, I prayed again.

Then I spotted a man out on his boat, it was getting to the end of the other boats. I yelled and asked him if he spoke English and he replied with, "Yes, I do."

So I asked him, "We were hoping to come work out here on the boats one day. Would that be possible?"

He said, "No, we don't have any jobs here."

I replied with, "We want to work for free, we don't want to be paid. We just want to experience it."

And he said, "Oh, well be here tomorrow at 11am. We will stay out till the night and eat on the boat."

"Do we need to bring anything?"

"No, just water."

We introduced ourselves to our Captain Chi and walked away with our chests puffed up. It happened.

My dream became a reality.

In the moment, I didn't even know how to express my excitement. I still don't know how to express it.

At 11am tomorrow, Mark and I will be going out on a Malaysian fisherman's boat to help him work. I cannot believe the blessings I have in my life. This is the second dream that I have pursued in prayer on the Race and it is the second one that has become a reality. The first dream was going to South Sudan.

Pursue your dreams because if you do, they will become a reality. You might be rejected a few times in the process of achieving them, but do not let that stop you from your pursuit.

What do you want to do?

Go do it.
