Now that you are beginning to raise support, you
probably have a lot of questions. Before you begin, take a deep breath.
What God has called you to, He will provide for.
When
is Money Due?
o $150 Initial Donation – 2 Weeks after
you’re accepted
o 50% – 2 months before the trip
o 75% – 1 Month before the trip
o 100% – 1 Week before the trip
What if I Miss a Deadline?
First off, know that we are here to help you!!! As you write
your support letter, as you make your phone calls, as you figure out
what else you need to do, we are going to be with you. Because of that,
it’s a rare situation when you actually MISS a deadline.
If that happens, we consider each case on an individual
basis. If you have been in touch with us and done everything we’ve
suggested, there will be some time and grace to catch up. So keep in
touch!
What if I Get Way Behind?
If, while you are preparing to go,
your account falls too far behind, you will simply delay until the next
departure date. That will give you more time to continue raising support
and you will depart with the next team. This is a rare situation and
does not happen very often. Remember, what God has called you to, He
will provide for!
What if I Leave the Trip?
Whether you withdraw before the trip begins or leave in the
middle of the program, the same thing will happen. Due to IRS and ECFA
regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations
given in support of a particular trip/program, all contributions are non-refundable
and non-transferrable.
What if I Have Money Left Over?
Any money left after all trip costs are completed will be
used to offset the costs of the ministry programs at AIM including
alumni opportunities, scholarships, and other expenses. It will not be
refunded to you or your donors and may not be used for other projects
outside AIM’s ministry.
Funds may NOT be transferred
to any other trip, person, or ministry.
