I was homeschooled 1st – 12th grade.
Both my parents are psychologists, so there’s that
I have one sibling, Victoria. I care about her more than anyone else in the world. Sorry mom and dad.
I love a good adventure. Not the pre-packaged tour, that’s not an adventure. On an adventure, there is an element of unknown, of surprise, danger and risk. That’s what I love.
I love rock climbing, the real kind. Starting at the bottom of a vertical cliff face, shoving cams and nuts into cracks and heaving all 130lbs of my fun size body up till I run out of rock. Kiteboarding is really my favorite though. The wind swooshing through my hair, sun beating down on my face, kiting away from an 8 foot wave chasing me trying to pumble to the rocky reef below. Boosting 30 feet into the air off nothing but pure wind power and mastery of the kite. Man I love it.
I picked up an undergraduate and graduate degree in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly SLO. My mind functions in a methodical way. I function more off of facts that feelings. Although I wish it was the other way around. I think God and I would get along better if it were that way.
Your quality of life is not defined by where you are or what you’re doing, but who you are with. That’s what I believe anyway. A deep and true community is worth more than any amount of money or adventure.
Although I finished high school with an associate’s degree in general engineering, I was originally told in my earlier education that I was more or less mentally retarded. I couldn’t read or tie my shoes till 6th grade because my mom knew I was mentally a late bloomer. After the 6th grade though we got real serious about education and I began to battle dyslexia and eventually overcame it… sort of haha.
I love having a good deep discussion with someone. God, religion, science, politics it doesn’t matter what. I just love bouncing ideas off people, forming my own opinions, peacefully arguing, and especially learning.
