I was having a conversation with one of my good friends the other day and we started talking about the context that the word ‘crazy’ is seen in.

I feel like in our society today that crazy is not seen as a good thing. We use the word mostly in a negative context.

But, I want to be crazy.

Crazy for Jesus! (you should have seen this coming)

But really. I don’t want people to look at my Christian life and think, “Wow she’s a really good Christian”. I want them to think, “Wow she is on fire and crazy for God!”

I feel as if God wants us to be crazy. Look at the things he calls us to. They are never normal, easy things. Always things that are challenging us and making us grow in some way. Isn’t that what happens to us after we do something crazy? We are challenged and then we grow. Think about it, He called Moses to lead a nation out of slavery, made Daniel chill in a lions den, and asked Noah to build an arc. Think about the faith these men had to have to do these crazy things that had never been done before.

I want to be able to look back on my life someday and think wow I did all those crazy things because I loved Jesus so much! I want every day with Jesus to be a new crazy adventure, not the same one I live over and over again. We are not called to be comfortable Christians.

Another friend has taught me that nothing in life is near as fun if you always plan it out. After thinking about that, I found that it is so true. I never planned that I would be taking a year off of college to go literally all over the world and preach the gospel. But here I am doing it and I have never felt more right about something.

Stop planning your life and just be crazy for Jesus. See what kind of adventure He will take you on.

P.S. this may be my last blog for a while, as I will be serving at a camp this summer. Please pray for that and continued prayers for me and my teammates!

P.S. x2: I am almost 75% funded!!! Praise the Lord! I could not have done any of this without you all. Please continue sharing this and helping in any way you can, it is all so meaningful to me.
