So I need to raise $15,500 USD for my trip… I leave in July, but these are the deadlines the World Race has given me:
$3,500 before training camp (May 21st)
$6,500 before Launch (July)
$11,000 before Sept 31st
$15,500 before Dec 31st
$15,500 doesn’t cover the cost of flights to training camp, or vaccinations. Also, I'm hoping to purchase a travel back pack that will be comfortable and able to last 11 months of different terrain. I've been advised not to bring traditional luggage, but rather a travel back pack; because I won't know what terrain I might have to hull my bag up. Therefore, I have set $16,000 CAD as my goal to fundraise for allowing fluctuating exchange rates, and funds for pre-trip costs.
I believe that I have been given a passion to do God's work, and to travel for his sake. This trip is a public testimony in which I'm displaying that I believe people should be thinking less of themselves and more about others. I know this is a huge amount of money to fundraise and spend, but I know I'll be helping to change lives, and the people who empower me to go on this trip, through funding and prayer, are changing mine.
