I'm 21 years old, and yes, Canadian… contrary to popular belief, we don't all live in igloos, and we don't ride reindeer or caribou to school. Although maple syrup is delicious, I much rather prefer aunt Jemima. And we don't have Nutter Butters up here… (Which are delicious I might add…) We have red exit signs on all our buildings, not green. What people in the States call smarties, Canadians call rockets. Smarties up here are made of chocolate and candy coating, something like m&ms, but without the peanut… 🙂

Any way, I was born and raised in a Christian home here in Abbotsford B.C. (about an hour away from Vancouver ~where the 2010 Olympics were held) I've got 2 sisters and 3 brothers, (all who will be married by the time we set off on the WR) and I'm an uncle to 6 little rascals; strike that, some of them aren’t so little any more…

Currently I'm working in construction, (pipe laying) but I've tried my hand at working in restaurants, kids bible camps, finnishing carpentry, and framming.  I have a little bit of Post Secondary Education in Englishand in 2008 I traveled to Haiti, where I taught English, painted wall murals, was involved with a clinic and church, and hosting missions teams. This is where I got the  "travel bug" and I've been wondering where I should go next. When I heard about the World Race, I decided to jump at the opportunity!

I love playing the piano, and if you can't find me in the kitchen cooking, or in the garage building/creating something, you can prolly find me tampering around with some sort of instrument trying to figure it out. (I collect instruments from around the world, and can't wait to see what will be in store for this up-coming trip) I love watching movies, but often don't get around to it. I like being out doors, but I hate the cold and rain… Here in B.C. we get about 44 inches of rain a year… lets say the average temp is 50.2 F or 10.1 degrees. I think I may need to move somewhere HOT.

pretty much me in a nut shell. can't wait to see how i change/grow on this trip!
