Today is November 20th.
With the help of many generous hearts, I’ve currently raised $16,461.
My final deadline in order to be fully funded at $17,561 is on November 30th.
This means I have 10 days left to raise $1,100.
*Takes a deep breath*
Alright, family and friends.
This is a bit uncomfortable for me, but I’m stepping out in faith and asking if you would consider giving one last time in order to meet my deadline on time. Fundraising isn’t always my favorite thing, but I am certain that the season I find myself in right now is exactly where God would have me. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else… except maybe at Starbucks or Chik-Fil-A every now and again. I am definitely missing my pumpkin spice lattes and chicken sandwiches.
I remember first looking at how much I had to raise for 11 months and thinking to myself: How would all that money come in? I remember calculating the numbers after being accepted on the Race trying to figure out how many people I would have to ask in order to meet each deadline. But, my faith was never dependent on my deadlines. God has faithfully provided every time and I’m now at my final deadline.
On the Race, we live on a very tight budget which comes out of our funds. I’m talking about $11 USD per day.
• $5 for food
• $5 for lodging
• $1 for transportation
It seems kinda crazy to live on such a small budget, especially living the States where a meal in itself can cost you more than $11. However, it’s been so neat to witness God provide for us time and time again. My team has seen God provide us with free meals, free lodging at times, and even free transportation. This has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with Him.
I’ve got 10 days left to fundraise $1,100. I’m not ready to go home yet. I know He has more in store so I’m laying down all my cares at His feet, believing that He who called me is faithful to the end. It’s crunch time and I need you. I can’t this alone nor do I want to.

We are currently in Iquitos, Peru and we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend together as a whole squad. Even though I’ll be away from home for the holidays, spending it with the squad will be delightful. 🙂
