Remember Who You Are“

Such a powerful scene from The Lion King that reminds us that the 2 key factors that strengthens and drives our faith, gives us clarity in our identity, and helps define our purpose are simply knowing who you are and whose you are. We are A child of the king the one whom we may know as the lamb of God but also as THE LION OF JUDAH. . Knowing this gives us strength and courage to press on when we feel may feel lost, confused, inadequate, and abandoned, it serves as a reminder that He didn’t leave us He dwells within us.

A few weeks ago I attended a women’s conference and the theme was BRAVE throughout the conference I kept sensing God telling me “BE BRAVE“ something I’ve always struggled with. I’ve always been shy, quiet, and in my shell. I allowed fear to set in and hold me back from so many things. A few weeks later God gave me a dream and in this dream there was a lion following me everywhere I went and nudging me the whole time I found it weird that it was so close yet not once tried to attack me. I then woke up and prayed about it and God showed me Joshua 1:9 so I knew He was telling me again to BE BRAVE. well that wasn’t it I was joking around one day taking this personality test of animals and got a golden retriever as my result, but the second highest was a lion at this point I’m like ok God I‘ve got it!

Taking Back My Roarrrr!!!

The lion symbolizes strength, courage, royalty, fierceness, bravery, power and you see the devil will never come for us in our areas of strength because he knows he won’t win so what does he do? he tries to target our weaknesses those areas and things he knows we lack or don’t possess that will allow him to keep us trapped in a cage and bound down. He goes for our joy, peace, self-esteem, identity, faith, family, dreams, visions, goals, purpose any area we struggle in. We ourselves must acknowledge these areas before he gets to them. You see I was born to be wild so I refuse to allow the enemy to have me like the lion in the zoo or in the circus act confined in a cage being tamed to do everything, but what it was created to do. It was created to fight, hunt, and Roarrrrr!!! Just like the lion I too choose to step up, break out of the cage, and roar for everyone and everything God has assigned to me also for every dream, vision, and goal He has given me so that I may become all that He has created me to be. I will be strong, brave, and courageous rather than sit with the instinct inside to fight, hunt, and roar, but never use it! Even when life knocks me down and the enemy takes a blow at me I’ll get back up and keep enduring the race for God has equipped me for such a time as this.

I now know what I wanna be when I grow up!

what do you want to be when you grow up? If you had this conversation with the younger me I would’ve said a docfor or basketball player. If you asked 11 year old me I would’ve answered a flight attendant. 14 year old me finally had it figured out after high school I was going to college to be a pediatric dentist which didn’t go as planned so I decided to study psychology and now want to be a youth counselor, but my ultimate goal in life the answer that was so simple all along is to be just like my daddy! I am made in His image and likeness and want to strive to be like Him in every way possible even down to the lion. If He lives in me I know that there is a lioness within me that needs to be awakened. Hey Fear? My time with you has come to an end I’m ready to let Grace replace you for with grace His strength is made perfect in my weakness whereas with you I’m just confined to this cage. I’ve got a hold of the keys so 3..2…1 The chains of every fear I’ve allowed to hold me back just broke. I’ve opened the cage so brace yourself because I’m ready to Roarrrr!!!
