things i saw:
-a cheetah (there are supposed to only be like 150-200 in the park, which is bigger than the Netherlands, so we really were blessed to see it)
-a group of ten lions. 3 cubs, 3 females, and four males. it was pretty wild, and it’s pretty cool seeing them in the wild that God compares himself to the lion…such authority, confidence, presence…
-a hyena
-a ton of giraffes (which look shorter in person than at any zoo i’ve ever been to)
-zebras
-rhinos (even one with a baby rhino…which apparently doesn’t happen)
-hippos
-crocodiles
-a leopard
-a wild dog (apparently this is a big deal too. we called it a hyena at first and our driver threw a fit and explained the significance of seeing a wild dog in the wild.)
-lots of monkeys, impalas, other deer like animals, buffalo, water buffalo, etc
-zack getting hit in the face by the bird that flew into our vehicle.
our driver, Bru (which is not short for Bruce), told us that this was his best safari in over a year. you could say we got lucky, but the reality is that we were extremely blessed. more blogs on the month coming very soon…
