This is a picture of the six other people i get the joy of serving alongside of next year. starting with me, and moving clockwise in this picture is zack trute, rachel hartman, di dinnis, jennifer myers, darci simpson, and anna coffey. below is a list of each of these people, ways i already see God using them on the team, as well as links to their blogs, so you can read their stories as well.
we call ourselves Team Spectacle. it’s taken from 1 corinthians 4:9-13 – our hope is that we fear nothing and long for nothing but God’s glory as we become a spectacle to the universe this next year, no matter our circumstances!
Zach Trute is our team’s token Canadian. He lives in Ontario and is a man who is a lot like Moses. He is a genuine guy, with amazing leadership qualities. He is a prophet who listens so attentively for the voice of the Lord. I have met very few men as weak before the Lord than him, but as strong in the Lord as he. Zack is my brother, and will be for life. I’m thrilled to spend a year with him!

Rachel Hartman hears the voice of God. She’s got some wicked enthusiasm, and will be the voice the Lord uses to show our group what we should be doing in the ministries we immerse ourselves in this year.

Di Dinnis is a little spunky girl with a huge heart. She has a passion for videography, and will use her gifts of video editing to tell our story to the world. If you read this blog throughout the next year, you’ll be blessed by her videos.

Jennifer Myers lives pretty close to my parents, outside of Chicago. she’s a bears fan which bumped her up a lot of points, but then she admitted to liking the cubs…boo! She’s got a gentle spirit, a smile that is contagious, and a heart that cannot give all of itself it’s so big. i love this girl to death!

Darci Simpson is an awesome girl. She can do impressions. She can dance with the best of them. But she’s a comforter. She will be there to carry our team through the valleys and rough patches of ministry.

Anna Coffey is a sweetheart who has a servants heart and just a joyful spirit. One job she’s nervous, but also excited about, is the job of translating for us in those countries we visit where spanish is the main language.

Seriously though, this team is going to do the miraculous. This team is going to be broken, and this team is going to give life. and we’ve never been more excited about anything in our lives
