i know it´s easier to pray for things that are seen, rather than heard. the first picture below is my friend Orioles. he broke his right hand in an accident after he had been drinking. he´s addicted to alcohol, and it continues to cripple him in a lot of ways. his hand is getting better, but what is unseen in this picture is a pair of eyes bloodshot from the alcohol in his blood. God is willing to use this man in a huge way, but he has to submit to the king, too…

below are the two sisters in Guachupita. i adore them both. on the left is Erica, the one my heart breaks for. yesterday, we hosted a church service. instead of praying for them at the end of the service, we asked them to pray. Erica started, but she became embarrassed. we were able to tell her she is talking to her Daddy, and can talk to him and pour out her heart to him. at that moment, her prayer wasnt a begging prayer, but a prayer of thanksgiving. she finished and exclaimed with more joy than i´ve seen this month, ´´now i know how to pray!´´ on the right is her sister Emerilie. she´s rock solid and leads worship for this house church. she is a peacemaker and a servant and i think God has big things in store for her future!

this picture below is of a child named Alex. his birth mother hit him in the face as an infant, and he has had to be in and out of the hospital his whole life, even since we´ve been here. it´s getting better, slowly but surely, but he´s another one we love and pray for often.

and well, i just love this picture. i feel like i need to rest in the shadow of my God´s wings sometimes. I can play contently, but he´s there, watching out for me, protecting me, and cherishing me. hopefully these kids see that in the way we love them!
