11-10-14 Our Second Day of Evangelizing

Monday was our second day evangelizing in Livingstone, and it was incredible. We witnessed encouragement, physical healing, and salvation.

We started out with Mr. Bosie on our minds. We went straight to him without stopping along the way. When we arrived we realized we were not the only ones coming to visit Mr. Bosie. The principal of the school where he taught was already there, along with two other teachers. Miss Dorthy had us wait in the house with her while he finished visiting with the others outside. Yes, he was outside. I was a little surprised to see him outside too. It was a praise nonetheless because that meant that he walked out there.

We went outside after the others left. We then talked to Mr. Bosie about his salvation. He professed to know Christ, but we went ahead and read over Scripture in Romans 10:1-13 about how to be saved and assured that we are in Christ. We prayed for God to heal and continue healing him as it was obvious that God was. He was improving, Miss Dorothy said. We encouraged them and even shot the breeze about grafting plants and other agricultural science things he teaches. As we were leaving, another group of teachers were arriving, bringing food and coming to visit. Miss Dorothy told us she was so encouraged by so many coming to visit her in one day.

We walked into the dirt street and agreed that a man we noticed the first time we were in the village with a cast on his arm was the man we were supposed to go visit for the first time. We showed up where we assumed he lived, but he was not outside. So we sent a little child who lived there inside to ask for him. They did not know or speak much English at this house. Sure enough, he questionably walked out the door and up to us. We went straight to why we were there… We were there to pray healing for him. We asked for God to heal his arm in the cast and for God to touch him so that he would know that God sees him and knows him. When we finished praying he said the pain was gone in his arm. It was then as our translator spoke with him that he quietly said he did not know Jesus, or God, but he wanted to know more. He had felt healing and the pain leave his arm. His name was Biggy. Biggy is perhaps in his early twenties and said he did not know who Jesus was. He was so willing to listen to hear about Him. Yes, we smiled big! We each spoke and explained from the beginning, God creating the world up to Jesus on the cross. As we were letting our translator speak and opening a Bible our translator stops us and says: “he is ready and wants to accept Jesus”. So we lead Biggy in what to ask God for, and God showed up. Biggy is your new brother in Christ. Praise God.

As we wrapped up with Biggy, our translator said we should talk to this other teenager who was just sitting watch all this take place. Then a lady brought her baby out that was in a cast and sat down with another woman. We prayed healing over the baby with a cast on his right leg. It was there because his legs were growing crooked. After praying and encouraging the mother as she professed to know Jesus, we then moved over to speak with the teenager our translator noticed.

Akim was his name, 18 years old and a brother in Christ. He spoke English. God led the conversation to me sharing how I went through a time of not living for God for two years or so and how God showed me mercy, forgave me, and has since then brought me much deeper than ever before with Christ. After sharing and encouraging Akim he asked, “Will you pray for me?” He wanted to be more bold in his faith and in sharing it, so we prayed. It was such a blessed time. Oh, and all the while we prayed for Akim, Biggy sat near by with a “big” smile on his face with joy pouring out of him. It was a beautiful smile for God. The God who created me just made his Home through Christ in Biggy’s heart. Amen!

All Praise, Glory, and Honor be to God Almighty! That is why we are all sent, including YOU! Please be encouraged to reach out to others, share your testimony, and God will bless.
