I still need my passport!!!
– 11 June 2014
God had blessed with a personal fund donation that left me with twenty dollars to spare after a doctor’s appointment I had earlier that day. After the appointment I went to an outdoor store that I had never been to before. It was there I was approached by an employee and our conversation quickly turned to God and The World Race. This particular employee felt led to purchase a really nice hot weather dress shirt for me to wear on my trip, saying, “What a blessing it would be to know someone is wearing this shirt to preach and teach out of around the world.” This young man of God then proceeded to pray with me and handed me $170. Why is this amount significant? He had heard me say earlier I had $20 to put towards my passport that I neither had, nor the means to go get in Hot Springs, AR two days later (9 1/2 hour drive away). God would provide. $190.00 was the estimated cost before shipping for the passport. He had prayed to God for $170.00 to give towards the need, and that was exactly the amount he had found he had set aside in an envelope there at the store. Praise God for His perfectly timed faithfulness through those willing to be used by God.

I woke up and began to organize my clothes to go get my passport, and up to two weeks of travel. My thoughts were, “I’ll drive on out to Dallas afterwards and stay with a friend instead of immediately turning back for Tennessee then go on to Colorado.” This made perfect sense right? Well, it had been previously mentioned to me that if I would come to Colorado from Texas I would receive some help to offset the fuel cost. If you know me, you know you do not have to twist my arm to go to Colorado! Also, while in Pennsylvania earlier this year with my best friend Chris, the church I had been attending in Pennsylvania had talked about meeting with me after an upcoming service. The next available Sunday appeared to be the 22nd of June so I kept that in the back of my mind. So I got my clothes laid out on the couch then prayed: (not in arrogance) “Well that is done Lord. You know I need this passport, and unless you have a better way to get me in and out of countries I believe I need to be ready to go get my passport later tonight.” (Remember it is a 9 1/2hr drive and my appointment is at 8:30am Central Time the following morning.) Ten minutes later I noticed I had a voicemail on my phone. Someone had called to make an offer to buy my car that I had put up for sale on Craigslist a few days prior. I just wanted to see what offers I would get and I was unsure about selling it. Needless to say, a few hours later my car was sold and I had fifteen minutes to get the money in the bank. I paid some bills and went to get the rental car that I had reserved a few days earlier with my debit card (without the money in the bank to cover the rental cost). After a one hour “delay”(Satan came with doubt and fear, but our God had the final say and a better deal) and a change in rental companies, I had the same car, for the same length of time, and for thirty dollars cheaper. I drove home, threw my bags in the car, and off I went.
– I did not know exactly where I would end up or for how long. I just knew, “God willing,” I was headed to the regional passport facility where I had my appointment. From there I planned to go to Texas and then on to Colorado until God said go or stay.
