Die Dania, die.
Die to yourself and to your need for things to work out.
Die to defiling others; die so you can prefer others.
Die to your expectations of all proportions.
Die to every moment you try to take control.
Die to thinking your way would be better.
Die to questioning the choices of others.
Die to letting the decisions of others affect your attitude.
Die to picking out the flaws of others.
Die to complaining.
Die.
But stay true to who you are.
And maintain your identity.
And find renewal in Him.
Learn to live in community.
Even when it’s stressful, frustrating and challenging.
Even when it’s entertaining, fun and encouraging.
Choose your reactions wisely.
Have patience.
Be intentional, supportive and strengthening.
Grow, build people up and challenge yourself.
Dig deeper than surface level.
Stay connected.
Choose to love.
Have faith.
Oh, I forgot.
And try not to get confused, defeated or overwhelmed.
Yesterday we were working in a preschool class trying to get the kids to practice writing their alphabet and numbers — while trying to explain it in a language they don’t really understand. My patience was tested when I just wanted to take the pencil from their hands saying, “Here, just let me do it.” Then I realized that’s what the Lord is saying to me:
Just let Me do it, Dania.
Don’t forget what I’ve done for you already.
Continue to seek after Me; keep your focus on Me.
I’ll bring you there; to that point where all those things co-exist.
This is not about me, it never was.
