“I have come to start a fire on this earth, how I wish it were blazing right now.”
                                                                                                                                  Luke 12:49

Let’s start a fire on this earth then. Let’s Burn.

I didn’t have any idea what a Burn was until I began the World Race. Burn 24/7 was started by Sean Feucht in the United States as a movement for people to gather in a spirit of unity to “release an expression of vertical worship and adoration to the Lord.”

A Burn is a session of unending worship and prayer lasting up to 100 hours where teams or individuals take 2 hour shifts leading the worship. The personal and interpersonal worship and prayer that ensues can take place in all shapes and forms.  On a global scale, these Burns can “release fiery intercession to rule, govern and establish righteousness in the nations of the earth.”

So that’s what we’re doing this month – “Burning.”

Benjamin, one of our squad leaders, has joined with team Unveiled Pursuit as we partner with Burn 24/7 India. We are travelling to seven cities all around India to facilitate and lead “Burns” as well as times of worship at churches, conferences and schools. Other times we spend hours or moments of worship in random places like university campuses, areas known for prostitution/human trafficking, temples or areas of idol worship, etc.

The world around us is longing to know and feel the presence of God and these Burns are essentially creating a dwelling place for His presence.

Our goal is ultimately to open the skies and bring the Kingdom of God to this nation. We hope that, through worship, the Lord would pour out His Spirit on the land and its people so radical, spiritual revival and growth can occur in India.

Check in next week because I’ll share more about what God has been doing in India.

”Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
