Wow, this day came fast. I mean I'm aware I planned to get back from Africa only 6 weeks ago but this still came faster than I expected.

Just under 30 hours from now I'll be boarding a plane to Atlanta, Georgia for Training camp. When I get off that plane I'll start meeting and getting to know all the people who will become my family over the next year. CRAZY. I'm not nervous but I've also barely had time to get excited about it so now it's just finally all kicking in.

They've told us basically nothing about Training Camp except where we are staying, what our "team colour" is and that we need to pack pretty much everything that we would take on the Race itself. I purchased an Osprey Ariel 65L backpack and after finding I have a stuffed pack I am now wondering how the heck I'm going to live out of something this size for 11 months. Perhaps I shall have to go back to the store and look for a bigger one afterall.

Not much to share aside from the fact that I've spent the past couple weeks getting my gear together in preparation for something I know nothing about. EXCEPT I know that its going to be an awesome time. I'm excited for the fellowship, team building, personal growth, time with God and the (hopefully) 25 degree weather (can you tell im Canadian???)

**Also, I am so grateful to everyone who has donated to my Race so far and supported me in prayer along the way. I have raised just over $3,500 and although I have almost $12,000 still to go, I have already been truly blessed and believe that God will continue to have His hand on every detail of this adventure.**

Until next time!
