The Best Christmas Gift

We wrap beautiful gifts in beautiful paper and bows every year and give to each other….and that's wonderful! But those items wear out, the paper gets thrown away, and sometimes it just feels so…empty.

I am a member of the R squad, and we head out on The World Race in July of 2013. Here's where we're headed and a little bit of what we'll be doing:

The Countries:
Ireland, Ukraine, Romania, India, Nepal, Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa.
(I will start doing country profiles soon!)

The Mission:
Across these beautiful countries, we will be bringing the love and hope of Christ to the "least of these". Whether it's troubled youth in Ireland who have turned to violence, orphans in Nepal, women who have been sold into a life of prostitution in Thailand, AIDS patients and orphans in Swaziland or those deemed "untouchables" by their society in India, even gypsies in Romania who are very much voiceless in their country…we will be bringing Christ to them by being His hands and feet and voice.

Now…here's where we need YOU to come in!

You may be reading about all God is sending us to do in these countries and think wow, that seems like such a great opportunity! But I can't leave my job, I have a family, I simply cannot go.

That's ok! God calls all of us to missionary work in different ways…and I won't make it to these countries without YOUR help. 🙂

It's a humbling thing to ask someone I don't know for financial assistance, and something that I've always shied away from.

But sometimes we have to be humbled and do uncomfortable things in order that God can use that moment to bring us blessings…not for us, but the blessing to help others and show Christ to others.

Freely I have received in my life….I want to freely give. I want to "go into all the world, preaching the good news".

I would encourage you to give to other members of the R squad, if you can. We all need it. 🙂

If you are in a position and have been blessed enough to be able to give a larger amount, that is wonderful. But please don't feel that your dollar or two or five isn't enough.

If ten people donated 5 dollars, that's $50 more than I had before, so anything helps. 🙂
