Hey everyone I am Connor Wallace! I was born and raised in the great state of Texas, in a town called League City about 45 minutes south of Houston. I lived there until I moved away to San Antonio for college, where I spent my freshman year. I came home for the summer and immediately helped my mother move into our new home in La Marque, Texas with her fiancé. I came home in May not knowing at all that I would be in the position I am today, getting the opportunity to go on a 9 month mission trip with The World Race. Like I said on my last post, I didn’t know I was going to even apply for the trip until June 5th, ten days before the deadline to apply. But ever since that night, I knew that this is what God had in store for me. And since then, God has showed me how to lay down my life, and follow Him. You see I have been saved since my junior year of high school, and I was baptized my senior year, but I never knew what it was truly like to live a life fully given to God. Since letting God have control of my plans and my future, He has set my heart on fire for Him and all I want is for Jesus to live in and through me in all I do. He has set me free from this world, and all I want to do is go after Him more and to let everyone know the amazing love that God has for us and how he doesn’t want to see you suffer, He wants to set you free from your sin and suffering! I have put my life in God’s hands, and I have faith and I know that He will take care of me. I do not know what He has in store for my life, but I know whatever is in His plans for me that it will bring glory to Him. And this next 9 months will be an example of that, even this summer has been such a beautiful process of growing closer to Him! I do not have much time in raising money for the trip, and I have had a lot of opposition for me going in my family and friends. But you see that seems like a situation filled with stress and anxiety, but the Lord our God has done nothing but fill my heart with love for Him and love for His people, and blessings of peace, joy, patience, and excitement! God is so great, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for my life and for the coming months on this trip. I know the Father is going to work in and through me in amazing ways and show me a love that I have never seen or felt in these distant countries.
