It is now my 6th month being out on the field. I still can’t quite grasp that.
6 months. Feels more like 6 weeks, or maybe 6 years.
This month is my final month in Africa and I am living, once again, with my old contact Harvey. I am still with all of the men. We have been doing door to door (hut to hut) evangelism for the past five days and plan on planting two churches this month.
I thoroughly enjoy living here. Our living situation is fairly comfortable. We have toilets, showers, and a well to get water. The rooms are very small and we have to share but if this trip has taught me anything it’s how to sleep anywhere I have to.
Our ministry usually lasts all day. We wake up right about when the sun rises and eat breakfast by 7. We depart to various locations at 9 and return home at 4. Ministry with Harvesters consists of going to villages and walking door to door, telling the Gospel to all who will listen to us.
Our work has been very fruitful this week. We have seen many victories for the Kingdom! Praise be to God! We are currently working in a village that sits on the Mozambique boarder. This is the first location we want to start a church. Our first church service will be held this week outside of an old building.
God has been faithful and I’m very much looking forward to my last month here in Malawi. I am so thankful for the brothers that I have by my side as well as those of you back home. The Lord has shown Himself and His goodness in a multitude of ways.
Please keep us in your prayers as we finish up our time in Africa.
Pray that we will be humble vessels for the Lord in ministry.
Pray that our church planting will be fruitful and will leave a lasting impact on these villages.
Also pray for a woman I met in the village this week. Her name is Helet. She caught my attention because she was wearing a very old and ripped snowboarding sweater. She has trouble seeing and has pains throughout her body.
Pray that the Lord would bring her healing and that she would help us get this church started.
Once again, I am eternally grateful for all of you who have been praying for me and supporting me throughout this entire journey. My heart is glad and my spirit is thankful.
GOD IS GOOD
