What is “A Mission of Love“?
The World Race Gap Year, in a nutshell, is my mission of love. I will be traveling around the world for 9 months to help and love those of any shape, size, gender, race…and I truly believe that is the purpose of this life.
A Mission of Love Fundraiser
In hopes of reaching my final goal of $13,805 needed to fully fund me for my trip, I will be holding an event where the community can come together for an afternoon of good music and great company knowing your proceeds will be going towards an important cause.
So what exactly will you see at this event? First and foremost, I have Wendy Heiges to thank for generously offering to sell her handmade, quality jewelry. Wendy Heiges Design jewelry has truly some of the most unique and beautiful pieces I have ever seen, you will definitely not be disappointed. You will have the chance to treat yourself knowing your money will be going to a great cause. If you would like to see some of the work that will be showcased at this event, you can head to https://www.facebook.com/wendy.s.heiges?fref=ts to find out more. I can’t wait for you to see her work!
Along with Wendy Heiges Design jewelry, I will be selling my homemade soy wax candles along with many other homemade items. There will also be other vendors present selling their products and allowing a percent of their proceeds to benefit my trip, how lucky am I?
Silent Auction
Now that spring is finally here, who is looking to spruce up their house? If you are, listen up! My father Matt Haak, owner of Independence Antique Brick, has kindly offered to auction off an indoor thin brick veneer installation. He will be auctioning off 200 square feet of 5/8″ Philadelphia reclaimed antique thin brick. This job has a retail value of $20 per square foot, totaling up to a $4,000 value. You definitely do not want to miss this opportunity, thin brick is booming right now! If you would like to find out more about what my father does, or see some pictures of his work, you can head to www.iabrick.com to find out more 🙂
Disregarding the financial aspect, I have high hopes that this event can be an opportunity for our community to come together for a great cause. You will be able to chat with your friends over horderves & refreshments while listening to live music by the awesome band wasitpurple?
A Mission of Love Event will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 2:00 pm located at 160 Rich Valley Road, Mechanicsburg Pa.
