Some moments, I still catch my mind’s eye imagining I’m in some foreign country, still on the World Race, having a team time, walking to the market for groceries, or letting the children in a Nepali orphanage put Henna on my hand. Then the moment ends and my eyes see America around me, even though I’m lost in nostalgia.
Last year, this time, I was teaching English in a Cambodia youth development center, and teaching the youth bible stories. I was going on prayer “bike rides” through out the village, and loving on children in the slums.
On “World Race Day” (November 11th = 11/11),I feel so grateful for my family, friends, and all my supporters that sent me out to go bring Kingdom on Earth, to be Jesus to a foreign, yet strangely familiar people. There are not thanks enough to all those that prayed for me, kept up with my journey and blogs, and partnered with me in God’s call with the resources needed to do His Kingdom work.
Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, enjoy this recap of my Race from this video by my squadmate, Brody.
I love you all so much, and I’m so thankful for your impact in my life!
