Hey all!  I wanted to update you and share a little bit about what God has been doing the past four months while I’ve been at CGA.  A lot has happened since the week at Training Camp in October.  Gosh, that seems like a lifetime ago.

Being a part of the worship track here has been an amazing experience, and God has blessed me with some amazing relationships as a part of the program.  If you asked any of us what we actually do on a given day, most people would have a hard time describe it.  They would probably use general terms to the effect of “well, it’s kind of like” or “We sort of do this.”  If I had to describe it, I would tell you that we are becoming familiar with the indwelling presence of God.  This seems like a very esoteric thing, and in some ways it is.

He is definitely not of this world, you know.

That being said, we’ve been learning how to respond to the environment that He’s already in.  We’ve been learning how to discern what’s on His heart and what His agenda is, as opposed to letting our flesh rule how we handle times of worship or interacting with each other.

And it hasn’t always been a comfortable process.  Mistakes have been made, flesh has gotten in the way.  Trust and security issues rear there heads.  Performance complexes flare up.  That’s not the fun part.  But as we walk through this refining fire, I truly believe it’s unified the people into the worship track into a group that supports each other and wants to bless each other.

As for measurement of where we’ve come from, I would tell you that we have these moments much more frequently now, where God shows up, and wrecks our agenda and does such glorious work in our lives.  We like to call it “sweet chocolate” in the worship track, and to be honest, I can’t really remember why.  It’s this place of having immense joy, and encountering amazing promises spoken over us by the Father.

Oh, and we recorded a three song EP.

Soooo, that was pretty significant.  I’m so excited for y’all to hear it.  God blessed us and put together amazing people to write a bunch of new worship music that definitely has our own unique sound to it.  He’s shown us favor and allowed us to work with an amazing producer that helped us in the recording process as well.  I’m gonna boast on the Lord a bit here.  (Through us) He has written some pretty incredible music, and we get fired up listening to the revelation of His heart in these songs.  I can’t explain how it works, but it just seems like heaven falls on these songs, and the weight of God’s glory has seemed to touch them.  Be on the lookout for that, we think, come New Year!

So yeah, that’s just a bit about the tangible (sort of) things that have happened in the past four months.  There have been a lot of things He’s downloaded, and as I continue to process those, I look forward to sharing about those lessons.
