Honestly, there's no good place to begin on this.  I'm in India.  Wow.  I mean WOW.  Launch in Washington D.C. was an amazing week of training for the team leaders (of which I am one for Team Raging Waters).  There were many times of spontaneous worship, getting to spend time with my team, and just figuring out the nitty gritty of what day to day life would look like on the race.  I am finally here, at our ministry spot with a WONDERFUL pastor and translator.

Travel "day" is a concept.  Boy did we learn that on our first country.  From Washington to where we are now, it took something like 55 hours including layovers, flights, bus rides, etc.  We were kinda of smelly, we all had been in the same clothes for four days.  But the Lord watched over us.  We all arrived safely, with all of our luggage, and no real problems (knock on wood for future travels).  What a blessing that was on such a long trip, and for our first experience!

We have a great work to do here, and there is much darkness in this area.  My team and I have been sent out into a village where we are staying at a church, but go out into the village to evangelize, to speak truth and hope into a people suffering from religious confusion and social oppression.

Our Squad Leader, Joel, spoke over our team at training, telling us that we were a bull of a team.  That we would become this unbridled, powerful force of God's kingdom, and of His light into these dark places.  He told us at upon arriving in India, that we could either choose to have a safe mission experience, loving on children, and serving those around us, OR we could step out in faith.  We could take risks, and put ourselves in situations that demand faith in the Lord's power, and that might look a little reckless, but in actuality is safe in the will of God.  Thank God for this wise word, because we could wait to ease into this, and get there by month five or six.

But we didn't.

We are empowered for God's work, and it is happening NOW.  In this place.  A country that needs freedom and the light that only comes from salvation through Jesus.  I encourage you to step out in faith with me, and ask God to open your hearts to the truth of events transpired.

Please read my next blog post for more on this and the RIDICULOUS things He did on our first day in the village.
