U SQUAD!
A glimpse into World Race Training Camp:
1.) —Standing on chairs and shouting things is completely normal.
2.) —A trip to Walmart is almost as exciting as going to Disneyworld for the first time.
3.) —Sitting by a campfire is like a shower…..considering it covers all other body odors.
4.) —Spitting in people’s faces, head butting, and shouting random syllables has never been more entertaining.
5.) —Giggling until you want to pee yourself is a common occurrence. 
6.) —Crying every single day is rejoiced.
7.) —Daddy Long Leg spiders are the best bed buddies.
8.) —Spooning with your whole squad is not questioned.
9.) —Being completely exposed spiritually will never feel so rewarding.
10.)–Privacy is not an option.
–Experiencing your first breathe after a long spiritual coma has never felt more refreshing.
–Smashing imaginary objects leaves your legs sore the next day.
11.)–Not showering for 8 days automatically makes you the coolest person at camp! (or at least I’d like to think so)
12.)–Having 43 random strangers turn into 11 amazing brothers and 32 beautiful sisters in a matter of days is possible and absolutely unavoidable. I already miss my new family!
Training camp challenged my foundations in every way, it exposed my fears, it opened my eyes to the realities of the world. It made me realize that God will change your life if you let Him. My advice for future world racers: if what you’ve always done has brought you to this point, can continuing to do that bring you somewhere new? Maybe a new destination requires a new journey. Maybe that journey will look different. Maybe that’s what you’ve been waiting for all along. This next year is going to be such a wonderful blessing! And I can’t wait for it to begin and discover the adventures that God has planned for me.
