Well howdy-ho my friends and fellows! It is a new day and I am in a new country with J-Squad- my beloved Malaysia! It is so wonderful to be here for round 2 in this fantastic place and I am privileged to be here with our 3 new squad leaders! Let me introduce to you:
Claire Flores! This fierce little firecracker hails from the separate country of Texas. She may be one of the most considerate women I have ever met. Claire would never say ‘no’ to the Lord and sets such an example with her ever-loving willingness. She is so sincere in all that she says and does and will always take bold steps for those she loves. Her heart is one that lives without fear and I have never seen her back down even in the face of high octane difficulty. Claire has a real heart to see personal growth in people’s intimate relationships with the Father and for everyone to grow through ministry and community. She is so patient, so kind, never boastful and always selfless. I love this lady and I know that J-Squad will be blessed with her as one of their fearless leaders!
Robert Olivas! This crazy/crazy-faithful man hails from Carlsbad, New Mexico. He is one of the most delightfully awkward people I’ve ever met and is such a delight! He brings such a gentle and sweet spirit with him everywhere he goes that leaves you feeling so well loved and cared for. He enjoys spending intentional time with people and goes out of his way to love others as best as he possibly can. Robert is such a natural at bringing so much life and showing others how they have been made truly alive in Christ. He has a passion for leading and writing Spirit-lead worship and opening up the creativity within other people around him. Robert challenges anyone and everyone to take a deeper plunge into their faith and to really step out and risk everything for Jesus’ love. He really is such a wondrous man and he continues to baffle all of us with just how much God has put in his spirit. We are blessed and honored to have him lead J-Squad!
Becky Coleman! This tender-hearted little filly shouts from Jacksonville, Florida. She is an absolute powerhouse that exudes confidence that can only come from a rock-solid faith in the Lord. She has such an equally ferocious and gentle sensitivity to the emotions behind the Lord’s heart and is so madly in love with who Jesus really is. Becky rejoices, mourns, empathizes and loves with tears of living water each and every day. She knows the heart of Christ and loves to love just as relentlessly as He does. She recognizes the Spirit so well and knows how to move with the gentle breeze that Jesus breathes into our lives. Becky cares so deeply for all people and makes you feel that you are being enveloped in such gentle arms when she is around you. She is so for Jesus and we are so for her! Hooray for Rebecca Rose Coleman!
These three wonderful folks are being anointed with such a great newness from our Father for the next 8 months of J-Squad’s World Race. This dynamite team is going to take our group of 50 something to places that Erin, Phillip and I couldn’t reach. They are being more than equipped to lead this squad in ways that go far beyond our wildest expectations. They have a heart for each member of the squad and for all of the ministries everyone will be dipping their toes in. They are going to do such incredible things in the name of Christ and will lead for the sake of His abundant love. I am so excited to see what God is going to do in their open hands and faithful spirits. Gah lee, I just love what God is up to! Praise God for being so alive in all of us!
