Hola mis amigos! I hope and pray that all is going well in the great US of A. In case you aren’t big into reading the titles of my blogs, I am happy to let you know that my feet (and the rest of my body parts) are in the Dominican Republic! After 5 days in Chicago, Illinois for the launches of I, J, K and L squads, J-Squad has made it safely to this multi-ethnic wonderland. All 9 of the teams on our squad are doing a handful of different things throughout the country and Erin, Phillip and myself are privileged enough to be here with them!
Through the awesomeness that was the September launch and the wild delight of moving our entire squad from the United States to the Caribbean, I can honestly say that none of it would’ve happened without Jesus. He is so in love with these J-Squad people, the people we interact with, the places we go… He is just so in love with all of us! Erin, Phillip and I all have realized separately and and unity that we really don’t know what we are doing in our positions (and that is exactly where God wants us to be). We continue to be rendered clueless and s.o.l. on a pretty moment by moment basis and God loves us enough to always show up and give us everything we need! He is trusting us to be a living and breathing mouthpiece of his heart and desires for the 61 racers on J-Squad and we really don’t have anything without Him. He continually reaffirms and thoughts for us and His love keeps showing up in the biggest and smallest ways. God really loves this squad and He truly wants the best for them. It is so awesome to be a part of it and to watch Jesus go above and beyond anything we could possibly imagine.
As I continue to see God show up in such refreshed newness in all parts of our lives, I just have to stop, breathe and just be crazy thankful. With each glimmer of gratefulness I stand back to bask in, I become more undignified and wild when I worship Him for all that He does and all that He is. I keep yelling in thanks, dancing like a complete madwoman, making noises that only appear in cartoons and any other point of personal expression just seems to be seeping out of me. The cool thing about it is, with all of that madness, J-Squad is influenced to recklessly abandon any box they have put our Father’s love in and completely follow Him with no holding back. God is so into blessing us and I know that He loves to hear just how it makes us feel and I get to influence 61 other people to let go of anything that holds them back from the fullness of His passion for our hearts. He loves to know our spirits and see just how we honor Him in thanks and reverence for His greatness. I love our Father and I can’t help but fall on my face and express my cuckoo-bat-crazy thanks for all the ways He loves us. Praise God for everything! Man oh man, His love is too legit!
