Being back home is great and one of the best parts is getting together with so many friends and families and sharing amazing stories of how we witnessed God last year.
BUT THE STORY DOESN’T END THERE…
Very dear friends to us both now, Erin grew up down the road from the Ely family. We were especially excited to share pictures and testimonies from this past year with this amazing family who daily live out the gospel. Dwight, the father, has had knee problems for a number of years. And it seemed to be culminating as he was limping around and his knee cap looked like a grapefruit, obviously causing him a lot of pain. As soon as we were finished showing our pictures the whole family gathered around Dwight, their youngest son even got some annointing oil and we welcomed the presence of God as we commanded healing in his knee. After we all said AMEN Dwight stood up and seemed to be limping less, but still limping. The next day Dwight took it easy and his wife fasted for him.
The day after Casey received a voicemail from Dwight proclaiming “I’M HEALED”! We were so excited and just praising God for his abundant love. Dwight even called and cancelled his doctors appointment he was supposed to have that day. Previously his knee hurt him so much he had placed a ramp over the stairs up to his house and they were removed that day too! A few days passed and we stopped by to see Dwight and his miracle knee. He came around the corner on one of his bigger tractors and swings his legs to the side and jumps…that’s right jumps off! He even tells us how his family went to the beach the prior weekend and he was playing beach volleyball, even diving for the ball. Also he did some wrestling with his oldest 16 year old son. His only complaint? His now healed leg was super weak due to lack of use for the past several years!
We know God is all powerful, but we can easily put a label on miracles only happening in Africa or other foreign countries around the world. But that day with the Ely family we were reminded and shown that God wants to be used here too! Trust, believe and keep praying to see His face.
