I’m writing from Kathmandu, Nepal – backpacker’s paradise! This is the capital of Nepal, the country of the Himalayas and Mount Everest, so needless to say, the streets are dotted with hikers and hippies. It’s been such a relief to walk around and not be stared at for being tourists.

For the past week, we’ve had debrief with our squad. Debriefs happen once every two months, and are a time to process, rest, and spend time with all of our squad and our mentors. During this debrief, we found out about yet another route change! Adventures has had some safety issues in east Africa, which has affected most other routes.

R Squad’s original route:

Ireland, Romania, Ukraine, India, Nepal, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, Thailand, Cambodia, Taiwan

R Squad's route upgrade (called an upgrade because I’m pumped for more Asia!):

Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Swaziland, South Africa

Prayer Need: Please pray for continued perseverance and passion to do this thing! I think for my teammates and definitely myself, it’s become easy to get complacent on the World Race. As weird as it is, this has become my life. I often feel kind of jaded towards doing ministry now. Today, I had the privilege of finding good wi-fi and talking to my Dad and step-mom. I'm really starting to miss my family and friends, and talking to them brought some perspective back. It took me back to a time when I was at home, taking classes, and dreaming of being on the World Race. I must remember this and live to the fullest on the Race, especially since I’m not even halfway through!

Fundraising: Thanks to all of you, I have raised $14,000 of $15,500! That’s 90%! The remaining $1,500 is due by the end of December.

I AM FULLY FUNDED!!! THANK YOU!!!
