Hello fellow readers, supporters, subscribers, friends, and family…
Some of you may already know but for those that don’t, I have decided to defer my World Race until August of 2016 rather than going in January of 2016. I felt like this is what God was telling me to do, so I’ll have some additional time to build a support team and prepare spiritually and emotionally. I’m still just as excited as before (if not more) that God has put this opportunity in my path and to be a part of a group of people who want to see a world changed for God.
The purpose of this mission trip will continue to remain the same. We (my team and I) will be partnering with local churches and ministries to spread the Gospel, build relationships with orphans, minister to human trafficking victims, and bring God’s hope and love to many places across the world. Personally, through this journey I want to learn to love like Jesus does. I want to learn to see the world through God’s eyes and become the person He wants me to be. I want to find God’s purpose for my life and fulfill that purpose.
The costs for my mission trip will also remain the same and is $16,961. That’s a large sum of money right? I know… I’m the one trying to raise it. But this money will cover all costs over the course of 11 months, including training camp. These costs include food, lodging, airline tickets, ground transportation, and other expenses. My hope and prayer is that I will be fully funded by the time I leave in August.
Basically the only thing that’s different is the route I will be taking. With this new route I will be going to:
- Lesotho
- Swaziland
- South Africa
- Vietnam
- Cambodia
- Thailand
- Nicaragua
- Costa Rica
- Jamaica
- Haiti
- Dominican Republic

Sommige van jullie weten het al maar voor degene die het nog niet weten, ik heb besloten mijn World Race uit te stellen tot augustus 2016 i.p.v. te vertrekken januari 2016. Het voelde beter. Nu heb ik meer tijd om een support team op te bouwen en mijzelf voor te bereiden. Ik ben nog net zo enthousiast of zelfs meer, dat ik deze mogelijkheid krijg en deel kan uitmaken van een groep mensen die de wereld willen veranderen voor God.
Het doel van deze reis zal hetzelfde blijven. Wij (mijn team en ik) zullen gaan samen werken met plaatselijke kerken en organisaties om het Woord te verspreiden, relaties met wezen op te bouwen, het steunen van slachtoffers van mensenhandel en het verkondigen van God’s hoop en liefde op veel plaatsen in de wereld. Persoonlijk wil ik door deze reis leren om net zo lief te hebben als Jezus. De wereld te zien door de ogen van God en de persoon te worden die Hij wil dat ik zal zijn. Ik wil God’s doel voor mijn leven vinden en deze uitvoeren.
De kosten voor mijn zendingsreis blijven gelijk en zijn $ 16.961. Dat is een heel groot bedrag, niet…? Ik weet het… ik probeer het in te zamelen. Maar dit bedrag dekt alle kosten gedurende de 11 maanden, inclusief het trainings kamp. Deze kosten zijn inclusief eten, slaapplaatsen, vliegtuig tickets, vervoer over land en overige kosten. Ik hoop en bid dat ik het volledige bedrag zal hebben voor ik vertrek in augustus.
Het enige dat veranderd is dat de route anders is. Met de nieuwe route ga ik naar:
