I am
very sorry that I fell off the edge of the blogging world and hope that you
genuinely accept my apology. Most of you
know that I have already made it to my second country, Malaysia. But before I start sharing about my first
week in Malaysia, I want to finish up my blogs from my first month in the Philippines. I am going to steal an idea from one of my
teammates and create for you a so-called ‘Top 15’ of my time in the
Philippines.

[ps_
these are in no particular order]

1.   1.     Bathing and washing our clothes in the river.
2.
Having a pet
monkey named MuyMuy to play with whenever we wanted.

3.
Cramming 15 of us
World Racers into an awesome Filippino family’s home for one month. They are definitely the most hospitable
people that I know.

4.
Washing,
massaging and painting the toes of the women in the community on “woman’s day.     *blog following*

5.
Announcing a few
basketball games during our basketball tournament.

6.
Building a road
straight up a small mountain to get to church. *blog following*

7.
Taking a long
& random trip to Calapan City to see a doctor to make me better.

8.
Having a dance
party on the beach with some fun, hip, amazing Filipino women.

9.
Accepting the
incredible generosity of the people in the community. I probably walked away with about 30 new
bracelets & other things that were given to me by new friends.

10. Helping to bring a new spirit of worship amongst the
village

11. Hiking a rmountain at 4 in the morning to see the
sunrise and worship the Lord in song

12. Eating way too many bananas…perhaps more than I’ve had
in all my life!
J

13. Beautiful sunsets
14. Snorkeling in the crystal clear waters
15. Getting to know my awesome teammates better and seeing
how the Spirit of the Lord works in us together
