This month in Malaysia has been extremely random.  I really don’t have a better way to describe it other than random.

Since we’ve been in Malaysia, I have slept in 8 different beds/floors.  And if you would like to count how many times I have packed up my daypack to move to a new location, it would be a total of 10 times.  That doesn’t include packing up my big pack more time today to fly to Thailand.  Saying all of that, you can only imagine how exhausted we are feeling and have been feeling.  To best describe it, it feels as if we have done the entire World Race in one month.

Here is a mini (and random) recap of Malaysia (since I have been awful at keeping you up to date):

*Sharing dinner with new families many many many times.

*INSANELY HUGE shopping malls with gorgeous lights outside.  Supposedly Malaysian’s love walking around malls…it is their entertainment.

*Eating tons of Chinese & Indian food.  There is a huge population of people with Chinese and Indian backgrounds.  We even ate with our hands as the Indians do.  Great preparation for our month in India.

*Visiting the hot springs.  You would also think we were celebrities at these springs due to the amount of people who wanted a picture with us.

*Dancing in worship with the tribal village.  Soooo much fuuuun!! 🙂

*Splitting up to stay in different homes and to minister in different churches the first weekend in Malaysia.  Jennilee and I were paired up, so we went to Shah Alam and spoke to the youth group (aka people our age, not a typical “youth group” in the states by the way).  There, we reclaimed our voice that the enemy had stolen.

*Attended a traditional Indian wedding and were seated at the table of honor at the reception.  No, we had never met the bride or groom, Haha.

*Working with Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home (PECH).  A little, 5-year-old Chinese boy named Ming stole my heart.

*PECH Carnival all day that Saturday to help raise money for the children’s home.  They gave us huge purple colored shirts to wear all day.  We danced a lot.

*’Pot luck’ dinner at a church one evening.  Amazingggg food that included mashed potatoes (God knew what I needed hehe) and “thanksgiving in your mouth” (aka a curry puff) AND a chocolate cake in honor of Tricia’s birthday.

*Leading worship throughout the month.

*They looove to put corn and beans, etc in their desserts.  Even thought the dessert looks incredibly tasty, be prepared to bite down into some veggies.

*Going to a “prayer meeting” at a home to find out that it’s a full-blown baby dedication and we were way underdressed.

*We painted a Bible verse, swirls (my favorite kind of doodling) and a mural on the walls at another children’s home called Ray of Hope Children’s Home.

*Learning more about spiritual warfare and becoming more aware of the spiritual realm.

***and many many more randomness….

But even though my world has been constantly changing all month with new adjustments and such, I know one thing… My God has been constant and will always be constant.  He hasn’t changed through any of our constant changes.  Even when I have felt like I can’t keep doing this for 9 more months, God has reminded me that I am here for a purpose and He’s going to continue using me and He’s alwayyys going to be with me.  Let’s go World Race!! 🙂
