Perhaps the answer is in the name. Depressed, Deep-Rest.
In times of need, when all hope feels lost and we are spent, exhausted, and unable to function by the use of our own strength is when God can truely move in us and through us.
When all hope is lost find deep rest in the Lord and he will renew your strength. You will run and not grow weary, you will soar on wings like eagles. Not by your won strength, works, or actions, but by the Lords.
Perhaps the answer is in the name. Jesus.
Life is not about you (surprise)! It is not about what you can or cannot do, what you have, your interactions with otehr people. It is about Jesus. How he works in you, through you, your relationship with him. How he works in your relationships with other people.
When life is not going your way (or rather, when life is not going my way… like right now), know that the Lord is working in you and refining you, he has a plan, and can be trusted and praised in that.
Isaiah 50:10-11
Who among you fears the Lord
and obeys the word of his servant?
Let the one who walks in the dark,
who has no light,
trust in the name of the Lord
and rely on their God.
11 But now, all you who light fires
and provide yourselves with flaming torches,
go, walk in the light of your fires
and of the torches you have set ablaze.
This is what you shall receive from my hand:
You will lie down in torment.
I must not strike my own torch, but rather, allow the Lord to lead me because I can not see. I trust.
