This is just a quick update for everyone… We were told that going to Nepal would be impossible, a bad idea, too difficult, straining resources, etc. But our ministry contacts on the ground are actually telling us they need help, and have reached out asking for us to please come. After much attempt at dissuasion, it seems that the Lord wants us to go to Nepal after all!
We will arrive tomorrow, just 9 days after the earthquake. None of us have done anything like this before, so we truly have no idea what to expect. We have heard stories, of course, but I know there is nothing that can truly prepare our hearts besides prayer. As for the rest, we will see.
It is highly unlikely that I will be able to communicate at all next month, so don’t fear if you don’t see or hear any word from me, but I look forward to telling you all about it when I arrive in Malaysia in June.
Also, I am so proud to introduce my new team to you all! These 6 women (Aubrey, Alicia, Angela, Brittany, & Kim) are very special, Spirit-led women. Best of all, I am with one of my closest friends and former teammate, Kim Esworthy, who I now have the HONOR of serving under as new team leader! The Lord has FILLED MY HEART in this season leading Team Fierce, and now I can’t wait to see what amazing things the Lord does through the new team leaders He has raised up! (PS we are #TeamNameless until our 6th teammate, Aubrey, can meet up with us. She is still in Bangalore helping take care of our squad mate in the hospital from the accident. Please pray extra for Aubrey in this season of challenge and transition!).
I don’t know exactly how to ask you all to pray, since we have no idea really what type of relief we’ll be doing or anything, so please just pray for us to be useful, and for the Nepalese people to come to know God’s goodness in the midst of such tragedy.
Thank you all for your prayers!!!
B
