Getting to Kenya…part 1
I can always trust God! What God says will come to pass, but only in His time and in His way. My responsibility is to know His Word!! I am not to simply hear it and then “let it depart out of my mouth.” Rather, Iam to meditate on it day and night, and do all that He commands me. What God commands, at times, may not be the way I would accomplish something. My place is not to question God, nor doubt Him – but to obey Him. When I obey the Word of God, no matter how things look or seem, I am being strong and courageous. I become strong and courageous when I meditate on God’s Word. Knowing the Word will help me to not turn to the right or the left. Instead, I will walk in God’s straight and narrow path, and then I will have success and prosper in God’s way. I will possess what God has ordained for me. Who could want anything more!!! Kay Arthor – Choosing Victory,
Overcoming Defeat
This statement could not be any better at wrapping up my life for the past few months (May-July). This is EXACTLY what I have experienced. I am called to obey the word that He is putting in my heart – no matter what the cost. So much of what He had put in my heart did not seem logical to me, nor did circumstances seems to come into alignment with the direction I felt He was leading me in. Who decides (in May) to go on a yearlong mission trip (leaving August 1st) when their house, which is in the middle of a major remodel, is not even on the market yet? Only someone who feels the pull of God to obey.
(Ready to camp that night at my garage sale…selling it all!!!)
(The few things I kept could fit in the back of the truck….”Thanks” to the world’s best dad for your help!!!)
One things I learned in the this process was to not put an expectation up of how I thought God was going to move – I expected a quick victory, and my faith was high for God to move in this way,…BUT…this is not the way God chose to move….
More to come…but please be patient with me because internet is very limited…
Till then a few beautiful pictures I took from Kenya…
