I have been thinking today about all the things God is to me. And so, I came up with a list…. 🙂
All the Things God is to me:
1. He is dancing with me, holding me tightly in my arms.
2. He is Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) walking through a field toward Lizzy- strong and steady.
3. He is the man that takes my breath away with a bouquet of roses.
4. He is Maximus Decimus Meridius- commander of the Roman army-a warrior.
5. He is the prince that wakes Sleeping Beauty with a kiss.
6. He is the cool breeze on a hot day.
7. He is the lover that leads me blindfolded by the hand down the beach in the moonlight.
8. He is the German guy in “Little Women”, passionately in love.
9. He is the warm blanket, the huge, amazing, hot cup of coffee and a chick flick on a cold, rainy day.
10. He is that “warm fuzzy” feeling I get inside sometimes.
11. He is Ike Graham (Richard Gere) chasing after Maggie (Julia Roberts) as she runs away on their wedding day.
12. He is the “leg popping kiss” in Princess Diaries.
13. He is the gentleman that treats his lady like prized gold, the gentleman that opens her doors and scoots in her chair.
14. He is Johnny Depp as Sam in Benny and Joon-crazy in love over Juniper ‘Joon’ Pearl.
15. He is Christian Slater in “Bed of Roses” that says at the end, “Wait, don’t go. Please stay…”.
16. he is Dan in “Dan in Real Life” hopelessly in love with Marie.
17. He is the beauty of trees blooming on a warm spring day-their delicate branches swaying gracefully in the breeze.
18. He is cold icecream on a hot day.
19. He is the sparkle in a man’s eye as his bride walks down the aisle.
20. He is the bride-beautiful in her gown of pure white.
21. He is that feeling-that rush that takes a girl’s breath away when the one she loves kisses her for the first time.
22. He is the thrill and nervous excitement of adventure-of new worlds yet to be discovered.
23. He is the husband who tenderly cares for his wife when she is sick or has had a long day.
24. He is the loving papa that scares the monsters away from under the child’s bed.
25. He is the lover that woos his beloved into intimacy with him.
26. He is chocolate. Melt in your mouth yummieness!
27. He is the belly aching laughter shared with a close friend.
28. He is the long embrace after an extended absence from each other.
29. He is the smile that comes with fond memories.
30. He is the green mountains of Appalachia- especially East Tennessee.
31. He is the breathtaking array of color in the fall.
32. He is the delicate ice cycle that forms on tiny tree branches.
33. He is the random, small, everyday pleasures in life.
34. He is the young man asking for the hand in marriage of the one he loves.
35. He is the old couple holding hands in the park, more in love than the day they first met over 60 years ago.
36. He is the overwhelming, all consuming joy that a mother feels the moment she first holds her baby.
37. He is the proud father giving his baby girl away on her wedding day.
38. He is everything good in life. Everything that brings a smile to my face.
39. He is love.
