Today, I found out that I am officially fully funded for this 11-month adventure before me. Over fully funded in fact.
I knew in theory I was going to be fully funded sometime this week, but there is just something different about actually seeing the Lord provide in a tangible way. He literally gave me almost $17,000 through you for me to be able to spread the gospel and proclaim His name. It’s almost like He takes this whole every tongue, tribe and nation thing seriously…
My initial reaction was a mixture of all of these:

Yeah, mostly those things, but then a little bit of:

All of a sudden I realized that I am really going to do this thing. Live out of a backpack, give people feedback, talk with prostitutes, tell people about my friend Jesus, hold babies, build houses, serve the least of these. Are you serious?! I can’t actually do that! That’s just a dream that sounds awesome and is never going to be reality.
And in a way, I am right. I am not enough. I cannot actually do any of the things that are being asked of me.
- Raising nearly $20,000 in only 9 months
- Leading a team of 6 beautiful women
- Only having things that I can carry on my back
Nope. Not me. Can’t do it.
But Jesus can.
In Ephesians Ch 3 it tells us that God “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think.” And He’s been doing abundantly more than we can ask or imagine since the beginning of time.
He has been giving and giving and giving and giving and asks for nothing more from us in return than that we love and serve Him all the days of our lives.
He gave us Himself for Pete’s sake. Twice in fact (Luke 2, John 19).
Who He is is more than we could ask for or imagine.
If we, as Christians, are to look like Christ then we should be marked by generosity; continually giving.
And you, my friends, most definitely are.
I cannot say it enough –
Thank you for investing in me
Thank you for investing in the Kingdom.
Thank you for giving me an example of what it can look like to live the gospel.
Shalom,
Bethany
