I have now been back from the Race for FOUR months. It’s hard to believe it has been that long, but in some ways it has felt much longer than that. I really fell off the blogging bandwagon there at the end of my race, so here is a much needed update on me since being home! Coming soon… my WR video (also likely the first AND last video I ever make… kudos to my tech savvy, creative video making friends because it “ain’t my thing”)!

Anyway, onto the highlights of my time since being home…

I’ve stepped into some new adventures, gifts provided me in this unique season as I determine where the Lord wants me next. First was a decision to start serving with internationals, having more fully realized on the race my love for interacting with the nations whenever I have the opportunity. So I get to love on the most precious adults in Houston TX– they are from Morocco, Korea, Japan, Guatemala, Vietnam, China, Mexico, El Salvador, Nepal, Honduras, Iran — I get to share Jesus and teach them English, and they are so gracious and loving and an absolute blessing to my heart that it brings me to tears as I write and reflect.  And the best part is I get to do it with my mom. I convinced her to come with me after week 1 and now she is hooked as much as me! It’s the highlight of my week!!

Highlight #2: Noonday Collection. I wrote about discovering this company in the early days of this blog and how the Lord had shown me this was a way I could use my creativity for Him and His glory. So knowing that, I made the decision to step into the role of Ambassador about two months ago. As an ambassador, I am able to be a mouthpiece for the poor, orphaned, widowed, sick, and once enslaved. I am able to share the beauty of culture and creativity through the pieces I get to wear and share on the daily. The main way I do this is by partnering with other women and setting up shows in their homes so that they can use their voice and their reach to impact the nations. And it’s a blast, because we do it in a relaxed, low key environment that’s first and foremost about community and friendship and sisterhood. It’s a challenge to put myself out there and ask ladies to host or shop, but it’s already been such a blessing, as the ambassador community is truly a reflection of the church. I have already made good friends within this sisterhood of a community, and I have met some awesome women through these trunk shows! Interested in seeing more and learning more about Noonday? Well if you shop through me by December 31, you could win a $75 gift card! Plus there are some great deals in the sale on sale section (additional 10% off our sale), and always great deals in our 40 under $40 section! Check it out at bethmora.noondaycollection.com!

Highlight #3-7. I have also had some major God encounters in the last two weeks:

1. A new friend asked me to work an event that come to find out was for a MAJOR missions organization that her dad runs. She wanted to connect me and introduce me to the leadership. I had no idea who her dad was, or that she knew me well enough to want to do this for me. I will be speaking with leadership about potential opportunities on January 4th. God is amazing.

2. A few days after the event, she texted me to ask if I would want to get a hard hat tour of the museum of the Bible (the museum doesn’t open until fall 2017), knowing that I had plans to be in DC. I didn’t know that was an option, but they pulled some strings and got me on a tour on my last day in DC.

3. A man on the tour with me runs a head hunting business and has connections with Christian churches, schools and businesses all over the world. His company is hiring the director for the Museum of the Bible. I ended up spending an hour in a cab with him since we were both headed to BWI airport directly after the tour.

4. One of our best contacts on the race, Joy Choi, happened to be in DC my last night in town to visit her sister. She lives in/was our contact in Korea, is from Atlanta, but was in DC when myself and two other world race teammates were all together! We got to have a sleepover and go to David’s tent together before my tour at the museum of the bible!

I hope you are encouraged in these things, and are again reminded how well He cares for us! Blessings as you ring in 2016, friends and supporters! I love you for your consistent support and prayers throughout this journey! I’ll get that video finalized and up here soon!

love, Beth
