An act of generosity

Generosity, defined by the dictionary:

1. the quality of being kind and generous

2. the quality or fact of being plentiful or large

In Lesotho, I experienced a real-life example of self-less generosity.

To give some backstory, when our squad arrived in Mokhotlong, Lesotho, the girls attended a Women’s Fellowship night. The women asked how they could pray for us, and one of my squadmates shared how a large group of the squad was still fundraising for the upcoming deadline of July 1st. The women prayed over the squad that night and shared that they would keep it on the intercessors prayer list during the month.

However, what our squad didn’t expect was action.

On our last day in Lesotho, we had dinner with the pastors. We were given an offering that the intercessory prayer team had collected over the three weeks we were in Lesotho. Each person had given sacrificially and generously to help fund the racers who had not met their financial deadline yet.

A group of people who we came to help and assist, to minister to—instead helped, assisted and ministered to us. To meet a physical need that we had within our squad. Who were the hands, feet and heart of Jesus.
