Slum Ministry. These boys are loved by our Father. Pray for His love to continue to pour out onto their lives. Pray for relationships to be built so that His truth can be taught in this area.
Pray for hope. Pray for opportunities. Pray for Jesus to intercede in their lives-to claim their hearts for His kingdom.
Prayer at the Gates. When our team walked to the gates, we were praying aloud. Then we started singing, “This little light of mine.” There was joy and excitement within our hearts as we began this ministry. At the gates, I was able to see His presence pour into the square. His Spirit brought peace and calmness to the streets. He provided deeper conversations, full of love and light.
I met Meeny and Goom. I played with batons with them. They giggled and loved the attention. Showing God’s love through batons was beautiful. (Pictured below)
I spoke with Glademeer (he was from Russia) about his traveling experiences. I asked him about differences in culture between the places. Showing God’s love through listening was beautiful.
At our team debrief, we shared stories. Rebecca was given a keychain from a Turkish man that had an eye on it. Going back to our ATL from the temple—the ailment of eyes.
See Eun shared that being filled with the Lord’s compassion is what compels us to act. And when we act, we don’t have to worry about completing the entire project, we just need to work on the certain piece of the project the Lord has put before us for that time.
Later, I found out that the intercession team randomly started playing “This little light of mine” as they prayed and sang over us. Goosebumps. The Lord is working and He is ACTIVE. His love is working in the streets in this city.
