Reflections

A poem.

Do you love?

Do you place others above?

He will teach you more than you can think of.

Can you serve with no restraint?

What a journey, not for the faint.

Yet He lavishes His love like a canvas full of paint.

Demolish your pride,

Get ready for the ride.

Remember why Christ died:

He came to redeem His bride.

You are called to love your neighbor,

He finds you in His favor.

Not in vain is your labor,

if you continue to fight, not waver.

There are risks, you see.

How could there not be?

In the stretching of your faith, it may sting like a bee,

but in the outcome of abundant blessings, you’ll say yippee!

The Holy Spirit will be your guide,

there is no reason to hide.

His love and mercy will cover you like the tide,

be of humble spirit, not pride.

Rest in His grace,

His arms are a fortress, holding you tight like a brace.

Until one day you see His face,

Continue, in diligence, to run this race.
