I found out that I was accepted into the World Race on Thursday afternoon!! I was so excited and blown away with God’s faithfulness. It has been somewhat of a rollercoaster since then. With school wrapping up, beginning to teach a discipleship class, and figuring out what my summer looks like (not to mention maintaining daily life), I have been somewhat overwhelmed.
I know that the Lord is walking me step by step through this. I see His hand guiding me every day. I see how He continues to grow my faith, trust and dependence on Him. Through my discipleship class, I have learned the stages of the Christian faith and also been able to evaluate myself in that process. The Lord has pushed me to grow in the discipleship process—leading me to the opportunity to teach a discipleship class this summer. The Lord has provided opportunities to talk with coworkers and friends that challenge my understanding and beliefs in the Bible—and then share those beliefs with others. I have seen the Lord use me to speak truth into friends, hold friends accountable to their walk, and encourage friends in their trials. And the awesome part of all of this…it hasn’t even been a week since I found out.
The Lord is so very good. I continue to pray for preparations for this trip—in all aspects (emotional, spiritual, physical and mental). I pray that I take each day for itself–not living in the future but in the present–taking advantage of the opportunities He presents to me. I ultimately want to be His vessel—hands and feet—wherever I am.
With love,
Beth
