As I fill out my passport renewal form, I realize that there are many details to take care of over the next few months. I also will need more shots for my trip and get a physician release to be able to travel abroad with Adventures in Mission.
Even though I have many details to take care of, it excites me to know that I am taking steps closer and closer to making this experience a reality!
My next big task is to write and distribute my support letter. As I mail these out, I will be calling supporters and sharing my excitement with these people as well. The Lord has given me many people to ask to partner with, and I know they are ready to start these journey with me as well. Please continue to pray for this aspect, needing almost $16,000 is a large amount, but easily handled by the Lord. Pray for peace as I trust Him to provide and use my partners to bless His mission through me.
The last “detail” I have been working on is creating paper beads. I was inspired by my monthly Compassion International magazine that included life for people in Africa. The Africans use recycled paper and magazines to create these beads that become beautiful works of art. As a jewelry maker, I was instantly intrigued by creating these as well as a way to raise support for my trip as well. Pray that the jewelry is a reminder to the supporters to pray for my trip, and especially for the people that I will get to interact with throughout each country.
Blessings,
Beth
