People keep telling me how excited they are for me and how they wish they had the chance to do something like this. You do!
This trip isn't just for me. You can come too. You don't have to quit your job, get over your fear of weird foods, or embrace sleeping without a bed for a year…but you can still experience hope and healing and joy in unexpected places around the world.
The thing is, I can't go without you.
I know things get always get weird when money is involved. I've always hated any type of fundraising. I'm horrible at it. But I'm doing it. I'm not judging you on how much you give. I'm not going to look at you funny the next time we run into each other. If you are able to give $500, amazing! If you're able to give $20, incredible! If everyone was willing to give $5 or $10, I would blow this deadline out of the water. If even half of my Facebook friends donated $10, I'd be there. If you've maxed out your budget for the month, I understand that too, but I'd still love to hear from you! 
This trip IS an amazing opportunity– for you and for me. You don't have to drop everything to be a missionary for a year to make an impact. It isn't about the profession. It's about you. The point is to be willing to make an impact how YOU can, when YOU can, where YOU can.
I am in a unique position that I am single, don't have kids, am about to have a break in employment…and a hundred other details that all came together for me to go on this trip. I get to be the one to go. But it doesn't take away from teachers or mechanics or homemakers or doctors who are serving and making a difference in their families and communities on a daily basis.
The point is that we each have different passions, obligations, talents and responsibilities that shape where and how we make a difference. I needed something different. This place in my life is years of God working in me, bringing me through struggles, and blessing me with experiences.
This time and place in your life may not be the time for you to travel the world as a missionary but your calling can enable mine! 
It all comes down to being willing to do what we can. The earth moves millimeters at a time but the effect is felt for hundreds of miles.
