So maybe I shouldn’t have laughed so hard yesterday about my buddies’ predicament. Last night I finally got to sleep after 5 and wow was I feeling rough. I don’t think I had the same sickness that everyone else has been getting but I got kicked pretty hard. After sending off one of the participants this morning, I came back and took a much needed nap…Mostly I just crawled up into the fetal position and stayed there for the next 3 or 4 hours. Anyway, I’m feeling much better now but am still pretty tired and weak.
We’re currently in the middle of a lot of changes…Actually I think I could always make that comment. I’ve introduced the radio man to Ben Valentine and one of us will be preaching again this Sunday. We’ve got one team finishing up a project of rebuilding and re-roofing a church. We’ve got another team working with an orphanage that has 144 kids. The pastor and his wife running it don’t have the supplies they need and are in a pretty tight situation. You can be praying for them and discernment for us as to how to best help them. I feel like every day finds us with more situations that need attention. There’s an endless supply of needs and God is the only one that can truly meet them. In the meantime, we’re working hard to be as faithful as possible with what He’s given us.
It’s crazy for me to think that this week is almost over already. Please pray for health for teams and leaders! Also, that God would give us favor in all of the endeavors we are pursuing down here. I love what God is doing down here and I’m grateful and humbled to have the grace to be a part of it. I’ll soon send out some more info for you, or at least that is my intention.
